General Summary of Position

Job Summary:

MedStar Health is seeking a PRN Clinical Dietitian to join our team at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized nutrition care to patients at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. Your expertise will be instrumental in improving patients’ overall well-being and helping them manage various medical conditions.

This is a PRN position with rotating weekends.

Primary Duties:

·Conducts assessments for patients to establish diet and food guidelines.

·Develop and implement an individualized plan for medical nutrition therapy in accordance with patients medical needs, goals and objectives.

·Develop and obtain patient nutrition education materials.

·Work closely with Food Service team to assure conformance to diet prescriptions.

·Participate in orientation of new Food Service team members with diet orders and tray line procedures.

Qualifications:

·Bachelors degree in dietetics, nutrition required

·Previous experience preferred

·Registered Dietitian current registration required OR registration eligible status with the American Dietetics Associations Commission of Dietetic Registration

·Current license required OR license eligible status with the Board of Dietetic Practice of the State of Maryland

This position has a hiring range of $29.15 - $51.68
