Shift Information:
- Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Block Schedule: Not guaranteed (weekend block may be considered)
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- On-Call Requirement: As needed

- Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
- Charting System: Cerner (preferred)

Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience: 2 years recent Stepdown experience (strict)
- First-Time Travelers: Only accepted with 3+ years of recent Stepdown experience
- License: Active RN license in a compact state or Tennessee
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA) – Required
- ACLS (AHA) – Required
- Travel Experience: At least one completed travel assignment
- Education: ADN or higher (BSN only required for specific units, not this one)
Patient Profile – Stepdown Admission Criteria:
Candidates must be comfortable caring for patients meeting the following criteria:
Cardiac Conditions:
- Stable MI or dysrhythmias
- Post-PCI STEMI/NSTEMI
- CHF (mild/moderate)
- Pacemaker care
- Titration of select cardiac drips
- Special procedures (e.g., chest tube insertion)
Pulmonary:
- Ventilator weaning
- High oxygen needs (>6 L)
- Frequent respiratory assessments and therapy
Neurological:
- Stroke, TIAs, chronic neurologic disorders needing close monitoring
- Post-thrombolytic protocol patients
- Frequent suctioning, neuro checks
Other Conditions:
- Early sepsis (stable)
- DKA/hyperosmolar state (post-acute phase)
- GI bleeds with stable vitals
- End-stage organ failure with acute illness
- Complex post-op care (e.g., vascular, neuro, transplant)
- Frequent wound care or close fluid monitoring
Floating Policy:
- May float between like units and campuses within 20 miles
- Floating between campuses is rare unless specifically stated
No local candidates (must live 100+ miles from facility)
No pending licenses
