Shift:
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Mids: 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM
- Rotating shifts accepted (36/48 hour schedules welcome)
Compensation for 48 hours: $3,260.00 Per Week
- Compensation for 40 hours:
- Weekly Gross: $2,657.00 Per Week
- On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week ($18/hour)
- Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,937.00 Per Week
- For OT 8 hours: $603 ($75.42/hour)
Compensation for 36 hours: $2,391.00 Per Week
- Weekly Gross: $2,391.00 Per Week
- On W2(Taxable): $648.00 Per Week ($18/hour)
- Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,743.00 Per Week
Position Summary:
Seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Room RN to work in a combined Adult/Pediatric ED setting at a Stroke- and STEMI-certified facility. The nurse must demonstrate expertise in emergency care, trauma stabilization, and psychiatric emergencies. This position requires flexibility with shifts and floating across multiple ED sites within the UM Shore Health network.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience
- Charge RN experience required
- First-time travelers accepted with a strong clinical background
- License:
- Active Maryland RN license or compact state RN license at time of submission
- Certifications (Required):
- BLS (AHA only)
- ACLS (AHA only)
- PALS (AHA only)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- CPI (de-escalation training; completed on-site)
- Certifications (Preferred):
Required Skills:
Emergency/Trauma:
- Triage
- Acute trauma and multi-system emergencies
- STEMI and stroke protocol compliance
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Procedural sedation and IV vasopressors
- Ventilated patients and ABG interpretation
- Sepsis and shock management
- Central line care, IV therapy, phlebotomy
Pediatrics & Behavioral Health:
- Seizures, sickle cell, asthma, infections
- Drug overdose, suicidal ideation, psychiatric hold
- Acute psychosis, managing violent behavior
Respiratory:
- Chest tube care
- Intubation support
- BiPAP/CPAP
- Oxygen delivery systems
Cardiac:
- STEMI response
- 12-lead EKGs
- Management of dysrhythmias
Orthopedics & Neurology:
Unit Overview:
- Unit: Emergency Room – 2810-10777
- Patient Volume: 90 visits/day
- Beds: 36
- Rooms: 32
- Certifications: STEMI Certified, Stroke Certified
- Scheduling Type: Mixed (Mids/Nights)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Must work holidays as scheduled
- Float Requirement: Must float to 4 other EDs within the UM Shore network
- On-Call: Not required
