Registered Nurse - Step Down/PCU
Endless Mountains Health Systems | Montrose, PA

Position Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Step Down RN for our combined PCU/IMC unit at this community hospital. This role involves providing intermediate-level care while floating to our Med-Surg Telemetry unit as needed.

Position Details:

Specialty: Step Down/PCU with Med-Surg Telemetry
Shift: Nights (3x12s, 19:00-07:00)
Start Date: 07/28/2025
Duration: 13 weeks
Patient Ratio: 1:5 (Days), 1:6 (Nights/Weekends)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Key Requirements:
✔ Experience:

2+ years Step Down, IMC, or Telemetry experience
Charge nurse experience required
First-time travelers accepted

✔ Critical Skills:

Cardiac/insulin drip titration (required)
Foley insertion, potassium administration
Cardiac monitoring & dysrhythmia interpretation

✔ Certifications:

Required: ACLS, BLS (AHA/ARC)
Preferred: PALS

Unit Specifications:

Patient Population: All ages (Infants - Geriatrics)
Average Census: 12 patients
Beds: 25
Charting System: Meditech (experience required)
Medication System: Omnicell
