Pay rate: $53 - $56 per hour on w2
Job Summary: We are seeking two qualified Mammography Technologists to join our diagnostic imaging team at East New York Gotham. This temporary position is essential for delivering high-quality mammography services in compliance with regulatory and clinical standards. The technologist will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform mammographic imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
Operate and maintain mammography equipment in accordance with safety standards.
Ensure patient comfort, explain procedures, and maintain patient confidentiality.
Review images for quality and accuracy prior to submission to radiologist.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as required by facility and regulatory guidelines.
Follow infection control and radiation safety procedures.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient imaging environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Mammography Technologist.
Proficient with relevant mammography equipment and digital imaging systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
Certifications:
Valid NYS Department of Health license as a Radiologic Technologist.
Post-primary certification in Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
BLS Certification preferred.
