Job DescriptionWe are seeking aCertified Surgical Technologistfor a 13-week contract opportunity at a reputable healthcare facility inWatertown, NY. This is a great opportunity for experienced surgical techs who thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment and are passionate about patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the care and preparation of surgical patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Perform routine and delegated duties in accordance with hospital and departmental standards.
- Scrub in and assist surgeons during procedures, including orthopedic and Da Vinci robotic surgeries.
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper functioning and availability of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical tools and equipment as needed.
- Provide support with departmental tasks and may be required to precept new staff members.
- Must be able to arrive within30 minuteswhen on-call.
Requirements:- Certification as a Surgical Technologist – REQUIRED
- Previous travel experience – REQUIRED
- Orthopedic and Da Vinci surgical experience – REQUIRED
- Scrubbing experience – REQUIRED
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech programOReligible New York State LPN license – Preferred.
- BLS Certification –Required
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and infection control practices.
- Ability to respond efficiently in high-pressure situations and maintain attention to detail.
Additional Information:- Day shift schedule:7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Must be flexible and dependable
- Competitive hourly pay:$50–$57/hour, based on experience
