Registered Nurse – CVOR

Location: University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center, 901 Harry S Truman Dr N, Largo, MD 20774
Start Date: 08/25/2025
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10-Hour Days (07:00 - 17:30)

Requirements:

License: Active MD or Compact RN license at time of submission
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR and General OR experience
Certifications: BLS required (AHA only); ACLS preferred
Charting System: Epic experience required
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Float: May be required
Call: Minimum 36 hours of on-call per 6 weeks
Weekend Coverage: At least 1 weekend per month
Scrubs: Provided

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Trauma: Level I & II preferred
Hospital Type: Experience in teaching or community hospital settings preferred
Procedures:
- Cardiovascular: CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, etc.
- Vascular, Neuro, General, Plastics, Gynecology, Ortho/Spine, Robotics
- Scrub experience in CVOR and hybrid OR preferred
Robotics: Da Vinci Xi, Mako, etc.
Professional Competencies: Specimen handling, infection control, cardiac monitoring, time-out protocols, wound care, and radiation safety
